Although there has been no official announcement, new Boston College football coach Steve Addazio is focusing on retaining current BC defensive coordinator Bill McGovern–as the Eagles’ linebacker coach.
According to sources at BC, Addazio liked McGovern’s ties in New Jersey, which has been a fertile area for BC recruiting in the past.
If McGovern is retained, that would be two assistant coaches from former BC coach Frank Spaziani’s staff at The Heights. Addazio has already said that former BC wide receiver coach Ryan Day would be the Eagles’ offensive coordinator.
There is no definitive word if former BC offensive coordinator Kevin Rogers will be coming to Boston as the Eagles’ QB coach.

Nice to see Frank Addaziani is getting the old band back together.
This coaching staff was so successful over the past 4 years it makes sense.
Look at the linebackers he has brought in and coached the last 10 years. It’s a no brainer and it keeps the NJ connection. Not as close to spaz as you think!
