It’s time to move on to more important things about football and how Boston College can fix things now and prepare for Georgia Tech on Saturday.

But one final word on the fire-storm of criticism from some elements of the internet and tweet underworld and my “attack” on one of their own, Eagle in Atlanta.

Let’s take everything in context. I posted that many of the opinions about Frank Spaziani’s record are self-evident and that he would probably be fired unless BC had a miracle finish.

I also posted the same thing a week ago after the loss to Army, speculating when it would happen and how it would happen–unless there was a W-L reversal.

I simply said for everyone to chill out and let the season play itself out and then what happens, happens.

Here is what I also posted about The Eagle in Atlanta

I like Maloney’s stuff. He generally does a good job, breaks things down and clearly cares about BC.

I agree. That was a major rip.

I also wondered whether the Eagle would show up at the game between BC and Georgia Tech on Saturday in Atlanta and tell Spaziani in face to face what he thought of him and his coaching abilities.

The story was posted at 6:09 p.m. on Sunday  night.

Approximately 3 hours later, the Eagle made a request to the BC SID office for a credential for the game.

Hmm. Interesting.

And yes, I still hope that BC and Spaz can  win their next six games.

Sorry.

Not gonna chill out and ask the players to suck it up and deal with a coaching staff that gave up like it did on Saturday. That second half effort from the coaches was a disgrace. They didn’t even try to make adjustments. Even Andre Williams looked defeated, and it takes a lot to get that kid down.

Didn’t know you were in the locker room or on the sideline and heard what was said. Hope you enjoyed it.

So BC is tellling one reporter what another reporter is doing (“Hey Mark, Bill Maloney is going to be at the game”). Isn’t that unprofessional of the BC athletic department?

You still haven;t adressed that the one guy you didn;t say was getting the AD job got the AD job, btw.

Yeah, selective amnesia agan. Go back and look at the postings. I did a story on Bates and said how he was right in the mix as one of four guys. I backed off because I thought Corrigan had moved ahead of him. But then I found it wasn’t corrigan–when everyone was saying it was a done deal, I said it wasn’t him. I was told it was someone from outside the frame work of athletics (Quentin Williams). It wasn’t my bad. But if it wasn’t him. One of the finalists was Mike Bobinski from Xavier, but no football experience. So it came down to only one Bates, who I posted as the most likely choice. And that was done fairly early on Tuesday morning. You can go back and look at the time.
Yeah, so I didn’t have any of it. You’re right

Read all the blogs from the past week and you will find Bates named as one of the finalists and the probable choice on the morning he was hired. But then again why do you need to do that.Someone must read stuff for you because you are TheMan

Why did you deny being Mr. Awesome II?

What has Frank Spaziani done to deserve coaching this game or the rest of the season? Not what would it do to the program (he’s already done more than enough damage), why does he deserve to still have his job?

Your right. You should be named as the interim coach.

    Hmm. Interesting.

    1. I guarantee you he’s done this for every game in Atlanta. 2. That’s your scoop of the day? I posted hours ago on EO (which I know you’ve been trolling today Mr. Awesome) that a player is suspended and you still don’t know who it is? It must be killing you.

    1. Mark Post author

Nah. I will wait for you to tell me. Trolling catches fish like you

BTW, let’s also take a moment to appreciate how this hack says he needs to move on then proceeds to write an entire piece about what has just gone down. Hahaha you are such a clown.

thanks for laughing. Not sure if you can read

    Serious question Blauds

Bates said (on 98.5 I believe) he would be at BC for the banner raising on Saturday night, you claim he’ll be in Atlanta to watch another massacre, Did Bates change his mind? Was Bates afraid Spaz might punch out another OC?

      1. The Nexus

So wait, did you just make up that he’d be in Atlanta?

        1. Mark Post author

I wasn’t sure, I checked it and found out that the plans were still unsettled, which I posted.

BLAUDS says ” I still hope that BC and Spaz can win their next six games”

    ha ha ha ah LMAO

Let’s reflect on a prior prediction from one BLAUDS before Spaz really got ot work destroying BC football for one final season:

“But having watched BC closely for the last five years, we know this. BC can win. So can Spaz”

    Ha ha ha ha ha

    I am LMAOROTF.

Worse than the “the next AD will be . . .,” farce

    1. Mark Post author

I wrote that Brad Bates will be one of a group of four or five (out of 122) in several posts, but then again why let facts get in the way of your rants. Did I call it as a done deal? No I wasn’t sure and I said so. Did I say it would be Boo Corrigan as many outlets SAID it was done deal? No.

  9. SpazWastedMySeason

You still think Spaz can lead BC to a winning season as you stated earlier this year?

    1. Mark Post author

Doesn’t look good, but until it is mathematically impossible–one more loss–I am willing to wait and see.

Not a fan of your stubborn support for the current administration at all, but I certainly respect and appreciate the work you put into reporting on BC, even if I don’t reach the same conclusion.
