The official announcement will come Thursday in a press conference. After 27 years, University of Connecticut men’s basketball coach Jim Calhoun will announce his retirement.
UConn assistant coach Kevin Ollie will be named as his replacement. According to sources familiar with the situation, Ollie was balking at being given the job on an interim basis, but things were finally worked out where Ollie was given a 1-year contract.
