Let me get this straight. New Orleans is still getting pounded by rain. More than 700,000 people in Louisiana do not have power. Trees are down. streets and neighborhoods are flooded And Rutgers and Tulane WON”T postpone their game on Saturday because they can’t find mutual dates to reschedule?
Are you kidding me. Reschedule the game on Dec. 12–hope it means something for both teams and move on.
Both teams should take another week to get ready for the season and New Orleans should recover from Hurricane Isaac. People need to ge their power back and the Superdome should be dark on Saturday night without the city of New Orleans spending money for security and traffic control (if anyone comes) on worrying about a college football GAME.

Dec 12 might mess Rutgers 5th tier bowl game.
Jersey Guy? I don’t get it. How is this Rutgers’ fault? Isn’t this all on Tulane as the home team?
Yes, it is Tulane’s call, but Rutgers certainly has a say in the matter and could suggest solutions which would work for both schools.
Well, I think “shame on you” is still a bit harsh for the visiting team. BUT, I agree that both teams will look foolish for forcing a game on Saturday night. Hard to believe that’s what Tulane wants for an atmosphere for it’s alleged “fresh start”.
