Great offense vs. great defense. Something has to give and we can’t wait until Saturday morning when LSU visits College Station and takes on Texas A&M in a key SEC (still sounds weird) game.
That will just be part of another tasty dish of Top 10 match-ups which will be served all day.
1. Alabama at Tennessee–Rivalry game which has lost some of its punch. Bama is a defensive machine with a good offense, Tennesse’ coach Derek Dooley is fighting for his job. Since the Vols are 0-13 vs. Top 25 competition in the last three years doesn’t look good for Dooley.
Curiosity factor: 5
3. Florida vs. No. 9 South Carolina–Another SEC elimination match. South Carolina needs to win this to stay in the hunt, Florida needs to win this to stay ahead in the chase to meet Alabama (presumably) in the SEC title game.
Curiosity factor : 8
4. Kansas State vs. West Virginia–West Virginia was exposed last week against Texas Tech. If Kansas State can go into Norman and win, it can go into Morgantown and win. Heisman battle between WVA’s Geno Smith and KState ‘s Collin Klein.
Curiosity factor: 9
No. 5. Notre Dame vs. BYU–Watch out game for ND which is coming off the high of beating Stanford. BYU is not as good as Stanford, but is dangerous and won’t be awed by playing at ND. ND should win….but
Curiosity factor: 6
No. 6. LSU vs. Texas A&M–Great match-up of defense vs offense. Aggies vs. Tigers. Can’t wait to see how A&M freshman QB Johnny Manziel deals with LSU’s defense and how the defense deals with Manziel
Curiosity factor: 10
7. Ohio State vs Purdue–Big Ten match-up in which neither team can play defense. Or at least that is the way it looks. If it turns into a 52-49 type of game, we will be interested. If not.. we will just do a quick look in for the score.
Curiosity factor: 2
8. Oregon State vs. Utah-Beaver nation is one of the surprise stories of the season. No OSU team has started out with a 6-0 record since 1907.
Curiosity factor: 6
10. Oklahoma vs. Kansas–Oklahoma looks like it is ready to step back into the BCS championship game derby. Kansas is coached by Charlie Weis. Might be ugly.
